Clinical governance

Clinical Governance Is at the Heart of Our Model.

Home-based dialysis only works when it is governed as carefully as unit-based care. Our framework defines who is eligible, who delivers care, how it is documented and how concerns are escalated.

Safety framework

Eight pillars that shape every treatment.

  • Nephrologist Oversight

Care plans are guided and reviewed by a supervising nephrologist.

  • Trained Dialysis Nurses

Treatment is delivered by nurses trained in dialysis care.

  • Patient Eligibility Criteria

Defined clinical and practical criteria determine who can be treated at home.

  • Infection-Control Protocols

Hygiene and infection-control steps apply to every session.

  • Treatment Documentation

Each session is documented to support continuity of care.

  • Emergency Escalation

Clear escalation pathways guide the response to clinical concerns.

  • Equipment Maintenance

Machines and water treatment are serviced and checked routinely.

  • Clinical Audits

Care is reviewed periodically against protocol and documentation.

Eligibility matters

Home dialysis is not appropriate for every patient. Movincare's care pathway begins with professional clinical assessment and consideration of the patient's medical condition and home environment.

In practice

Documented care, session after session.

Nurses follow infection-control and treatment protocols, record observations for each session and escalate concerns through defined pathways. Equipment and water treatment are maintained and checked on a routine schedule, and care is reviewed through periodic clinical audits.

Tele-nephrology

A connected chain of clinical responsibility.

Information moves from the home to the supervising nephrologist so that remote clinical judgement is informed by what actually happened during treatment.
